Connect IFTTT to your WIFIPLUG account. Please refer to our IFTTT setup guide if you haven't already setup this feature.
Once you have connected your WIFIPLUG account to IFTTT, launch the IFTTT app, go to the 'My Applets' page and press the add button in the top right corner to create a new applet. From here, press "this" and search for "Google Assistant".
Select the "Google Assistant" service and choose "Say a simple phrase". From here you'll need to enter the command you'd like to use to trigger your WIFIPLUG or GLASS light switch. For example: "turn the light on". You do not need to include the "Ok Google" or "Hey Google" trigger phrase and you can add up to 3 different ways of saying the trigger so for example: "turn the light on", "switch the light on" and "let there be light".
After entering your trigger phrases you'll need to enter what you would like the Google Assistant to say in response. For example: "Ok, the light is on". Once you have at least one trigger phrase entered and a response for the Assistant, press the tick in the top right corner.
Press "that" and search for "WIFIPLUG" and select it. Choose if you'd like your WIFIPLUG or GLASS light switch to turn on, turn off or toggle on/off then select which of your WIFIPLUG devices you'd like the applet to control from the drop down list. Once selected, press the tick in the top right corner.
Your applet is now ready to go. If you're happy with it, press the "Finish" button at the bottom of the screen. If you'd like to go back and make changes, press the back button in the top left corner. You can also choose to receive push notifications when your applet runs using the toggle above the "Finish" button.
Your applet has now been created successfully. Your Google Assistant/Google Home may take a minute or two to sync but your new command will be available shortly.
