If you haven't already, you will need to download and install the WIFIPLUG app from the Apple App Store. Please see this guide on how to setup your WIFIPLUG account then return to this guide to complete setup of your WIFIPLUG HOME.
Please make sure that you are connected to the network you wish to add your WIFIPLUG HOME plug to before setup.
Please make sure that mobile data is disabled before attempting setup as it can interfere with and cause problems during the setup process.
Using this setup guide to setup WIFIPLUG HOME will add your plug to your WIFIPLUG account and automatically add it to your Home app for use with Apple® HomeKit™. To learn more about the differences between setting up HOME through either the WIFIPLUG app or Home app, click here.
Note for users re-installing HOME
This only applies if you have previously setup your WIFIPLUG HOME and are now re-installing it.
Please make sure that every instance of your WIFIPLUG HOME has been deleted from the WIFIPLUG app and Home app (iOS) before setup to avoid potential connectivity issues.
Plug your WIFIPLUG HOME into any mains socket within range of your Wi-Fi router then press and hold the button on the plug for 3 seconds to put the plug into Sync Mode.
Open the WIFIPLUG app and login to your WIFIPLUG account. After logging in, press the add (+) button to access the device selection menu. You can also access this menu by going to the Settings page and selecting "Add new device". When on the device selection menu shown below, select "WIFIPLUG HOME".
Scan the unique 8 digit code either on the side of your WIFIPLUG HOME plug or in your user manual. If you wish to enter your code manually, press the "Enter code manually" button (iOS 10) or the "Don't Have a Code or Can't Scan?" button (iOS 11+).
Select your WIFIPLUG HOME plug from the list of available devices. Your plug will be called "WIFIPLUG-HOME-####". If you have multiple devices and aren't sure which plug is which, the last four characters of your WIFIPLUG's Wi-Fi network will match the last four characters of the WIFIPLUG's MAC address shown on the rear of the unit.
For example: the MAC address of "WIFIPLUG-HOME-1A2B" would look like: "7C7A53031A2B" or "7C:7A:53:03:1A:2B".
When asked if you'd like to "Add Accessory to Network" press "Allow".
The app will now be configuring your WIFIPLUG HOME plug. This process can take up to 30 seconds. Should there be a problem during setup the app will let you know.
When successfully configured, the app will let you know that "Your new accessory is ready to use". Your WIFIPLUG HOME plug will also blink the blue light 3 times. You can then name your plug, assign it to a room and set a device type. You'll also be given the option to add your plug to your favourites in Control Centre. You can also identify your plug again and this will blink the blue light 3 times.
Press "Done" and you will be returned to your device list. Welcome HOME! Your WIFIPLUG HOME is now ready for use.
