If you are receiving an error stating that "This accessory is not compatible with this router" please follow the steps below.
This article only applies to WIFIPLUG HOME on iOS.
Cause of error
This error is caused by being connected to the accessory you wish to setup before starting the setup process.
When you receive the error, please fully close the app and open your mobile device's Wi-Fi settings. From here, please connect your mobile device to your home network. Setup will not work when connected using mobile data.
Perform a factory reset on the plug. To do this, please un-plug it for 30 seconds and plug it back in. After plugging it back in please wait at least 5 seconds before pressing and holding the button on the front of the plug for 3 seconds to re-activate Sync Mode and complete the factory reset.
Once the blue status light starts to flash please proceed to setup your plug again. Please do not manually connect your mobile device to your plug unless you are asked to by the app.
