If you haven't already you will need to download and install the WIFIPLUG app from the Google Play Store and login with your WIFIPLUG account. For help with this process please refer to this guide and then return here to continue setting up your WIFIPLUG HOME.
To use Apple HomeKit with your WIFIPLUG HOME you must use an iOS device to setup the plug. Please refer to this guide for instructions. Once your plug is setup you will be able to access it via an Android device by logging into your WIFIPLUG account.
Note for users re-installing HOME
This only applies if you have previously setup your WIFIPLUG HOME and are now re-installing it.
Please make sure that every instance of your WIFIPLUG HOME has been deleted from the WIFIPLUG app and Home app (iOS) before setup to avoid potential connectivity issues.
Note for users running Android 9.0 or higher
Make sure that you disable mobile data before beginning setup as it can interfere with the setup process.
Plug your WIFIPLUG HOME into any mains socket within range of your router and activate pairing mode by pressing and holding the button on the front of the plug for 3 seconds. Pairing mode is activated when the blue light is visible and flashing.
Open the WIFIPLUG app and login to your WIFIPLUG account. Head to the 'Devices' page (navigation drawer > Devices) and press the add icon in the top right corner.
You may receive a popup message asking for permission to use "Coarse Location". This is required in order for the app to scan for nearby WiFi networks. Press "Allow".
The app will begin scanning for nearby devices that it can setup. Select your device from the list once it appears.
Select your home WiFi network.
Enter the WiFi password for the network chosen in the last step. Optional: check 'Remember password' and the app will save your WiFi password to make setup for future devices easier.
Press 'Begin setup' and the app will begin setting up your device. Please keep this screen visible until the process has finished.
Your WIFIPLUG HOME is now ready for use.
