Pre-setup notes
Please make sure that you are connected to the network you wish to add your WIFIPLUG HOME plug to before setup.
Please make sure that mobile data is disabled before attempting setup as it can interfere with and cause problems during the setup process.
Using this setup guide to setup WIFIPLUG HOME will not add it to your WIFIPLUG account for use in the WIFIPLUG app. You will only be able to control your plug from the Home app and through Apple® HomeKit™. To learn more about the differences between setting up HOME through either the WIFIPLUG app or Home app, click here.
Note for users re-installing HOME
This only applies if you have previously setup your WIFIPLUG HOME and are now re-installing it.
Please make sure that every instance of your WIFIPLUG HOME has been deleted from the WIFIPLUG app and Home app (iOS) before setup to avoid potential connectivity issues.
Step 1)
Plug your WIFIPLUG HOME into any mains socket within range of your Wi-Fi router then press and hold the button on the plug for 3 seconds to put the plug into Sync Mode.
Step 2)
Open the Home app and press the add (+) button to begin adding a new accessory. Choose 'Add Accessory'.
Step 3)
Scan the unique accessory code located on the side of your plug or in your user manual.
Step 4)
Select your WIFIPLUG HOME plug from the list of available devices. Your plug will be called "WIFIPLUG-HOME-####". If you have multiple devices and aren't sure which plug is which, the last four characters of your WIFIPLUG's Wi-Fi network will match the last four characters of the WIFIPLUG's MAC address shown on the rear of the unit.
For example: the MAC address of WIFIPLUG-HOME-1A2B would look like: 7C7A53031A2B or 7C:7A:53:03:1A:2B.
When asked if you'd like to 'Add Accessory to Network' press 'Allow'.
Step 5)
The app will now be configuring your WIFIPLUG HOME. This process can take up to 30 seconds. Should there be a problem during setup the app will let you know.
Step 6)
When successfully configured, the app will let you know that "Your new accessory is ready to use". Your WIFIPLUG HOME plug will blink 3 times. You can then name your plug, assign it to a room and set a device type. You'll also be given the option to add your plug to your favourites in Control Centre. You can also identify your plug again and this will blink the plug 3 times.
Step 7)
Welcome HOME! Your WIFIPLUG HOME is now ready for use. Press the 'Done' button to return to your device list where your plug will be waiting for you.
