If you can see your device in the app after you have set it up, but it is showing a red button instead of grey or green, please wait at least 60 seconds to allow the plug to sync up.
If your WIFIPLUG remains offline in the app after 60 seconds then please remove it from the socket it is connected to, wait 10 seconds then plug it back in. This will give the WIFIPLUG a bit of a boost and get it to connect.
If your WIFIPLUG is showing no signs of connecting then please go back and make sure that you did type your router credentials into the app 100% correct and that you are connecting it to the 2.4GHz freqeuncy on your router.
Do be sure to check our server status page to check if any services are currently down.
Be extra careful when entering your WiFi password as the app has no way of informing you that the password you entered was incorrect. Having mobile data turned ON during the setup process can interfere with the connection so if you attempt setup again, please ensure this is disabled.
If the blue LED on the WIFIPLUG is showing solid then the WIFIPLUG may be taking its time to sync up. This can be caused due to slow Internet speeds or the signal strength in the area where the WIFIPLUG is located. If Your WIFIPLUG is in this state then we recommend leaving it alone and checking back on it a little later.
NOTE FOR USERS WITH BT ROUTERS:
Newer BT routers come with a feature called "Smart Setup" enabled by default. The aim of this feature is to try and create a smoother connection process when adding a new device to your router for the first time. This feature can get in the way of smart home products so we recommend disabling it. You can find a guide on how to do this by clicking here.
